Palliative care in policy documents for adults with cancer and non-cancer diseases with potential palliative care needs: a document analysis.

Background: The inclusion of palliative care in policy has been encouraged internationally, and gradually implemented, including in Sweden. Care should be driven by policy; hence, examining how palliative care is included in national policy documents is paramount.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine how palliative care is included in national disease-specific policy documents for adults with chronic conditions, cancer and non-cancer, with potential palliative care needs.

Sequence and Configuration of a Novel Bispecific Antibody Format Impacts Its Production Using Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) Cells.

There are a number of new format antibody-inspired molecules with multiple antigen binding capabilities in development and clinical evaluation. Here, we describe the impact of the sequence and configuration of a unique bispecific antibody format (termed BYbe) using a panel of four BYbe's and the three IgG1s from which they were derived on their production in a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell expression system. Following transfection and selection, one bispecific antibody format yielded fewer mini-pools in comparison to the other bispecific cell pools.

Registry study of cardiovascular death in Sweden 2013-2019: Home as place of death and specialized palliative care are the preserve of a minority.

Background: Palliative care needs in patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are expected to increase. For the planning of equitable palliative care, it is important to understand where people with CVD die. The aim was to examine trends in place of death, associated factors including utilization of specialized palliative services, and to what extent longitudinal development is influenced by national policy.

Living with glioblastoma - the need for integrated support based on experiences of chaos, loss of autonomy, and isolation in both patients and their relatives.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the experiences of living with glioblastoma from the perspective of patients themselves as well as their closest relatives, focusing on the changes in the life situation and the need for support.

Methods: Twenty-two semi-structured interviews were conducted with 12 patients (mean age 61 years, 7 male, 5 female) and 10 relatives (mean age 56 years, 3 male, 7 female). The relatives comprised of partners (n = 7), child (n = 1), sister (n = 1), or friend (n = 1).
