An adult, male double yellow-headed Amazon parrot (Amazona ochrocephala oratrix) was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia based on results of a complete blood cell count and cytologic examination of a bone marrow aspirate. Treatment with oral chlorambucil was attempted, but no response was evident after 40 days. The bird was euthanatized, and the diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia was confirmed on gross and microscopic examination of tissues.

This report describes a case of dysgerminoma in a 21-year-old eastern rosella (Platycercus eximius eximius) that presented with dyspnea and a severely distended coelom. The bird was euthanatized, and a large, left-sided coelomic mass was identified. Microscopically, the mass was composed of sheets and nests of round to polygonal neoplastic cells with lacy cytoplasm.

This article reviews clinically relevant neuroanatomy of the central nervous system of the domestic rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) that will help guide veterinarians in localizing neurological disease in this species. Although the vertebral column, spinal cord and brain of rabbits are similar to those of other mammals, features unique to the rabbit are emphasized where they exist.
