Due to the advent of various foldable electric devices, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the bending properties of film materials. Bending of isotropic materials may be trivial if elastic deformation is small within a range of linear elasticity, which is often the case for bending. However, bending of polymer films, often used in recent foldable devices, may not be the case.

Correct elaboration of N-linked glycans in the secretory pathway of human cells is essential in physiology. Early N-glycan biosynthesis follows an assembly line principle before undergoing crucial elaboration points that feature the sequential incorporation of the sugar -acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc). The activity of GlcNAc transferase V (MGAT5) primes the biosynthesis of an N-glycan antenna that is heavily upregulated in cancer.

Thrombosis after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 vaccination is a serious complication in patients with a thrombophilic predisposition. Herein, we present a 17-year-old female who had underlying antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and developed deep vein thrombosis (DVT) 6 months after her second BNT162b2 vaccine dose. Although she had no family history of thrombosis, she had previously developed DVT at 6 years of age, with thrombus formation in the right common iliac vein and the inferior vena cava, along with concomitant left pulmonary infarction.

Pulmonary tumor thrombotic microangiopathy (PTTM) is a rapidly progressive cancer-related disease with a dismal clinical course. The patient in this report was a 43-year-old man with metastatic salivary duct carcinoma arising from the parotid gland. Combined androgen blockade therapy was administered started as first-line treatment, but failed after 5 months, followed by docetaxel plus carboplatin therapy as second-line treatment, which failed after 3 months.

Background: Nivolumab monotherapy is the standard second-line treatment for advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) after failure of platinum-based chemotherapy without anti-PD-1 antibody. Fixed dosing with 240 mg every 2 weeks was approved initially, followed by fixed dosing with 480 mg every 4 weeks based on pharmacokinetics data. However, information on the comparative efficacy and safety of the two doses remains limited.
