Novel synthesized Chitosan-Copper oxide nanocomposite (Cs-CuO) was prepared using pomegranate peels extract as green precipitating agents to improve the biological activity of Cs-NP's, which was synthesized through the ionic gelation method. The characterization of biogenic nanoparticles Cs-NP's and Cs-CuO-NP's was investigated structurally, morphologically to determine all the significant characters of those nanoparticles. Antimicrobial activity was tested for both Cs-NP's and Cs-CuO-NP's via minimum inhibition concentration and zone analysis against fungus, gram-positive and gram-negative.

Purpose: To investigate the following three null hypotheses in patients rehabilitated with a mandibular overdenture supported by two unsplinted implants: (1) patient satisfaction is not related to the clinical quality of the dentures; (2) inter-implant distance (IID) has no effect on the clinical quality of the dentures; and (3) IID does not influence patient satisfaction.

Materials And Methods: Forty edentulous patients who were rehabilitated with a two-implant-supported mandibular overdenture participated in the study. Independent investigators evaluated the dentures on the basis of five clinical criteria using the validated Denture Quality Evaluation Form, and the patients completed the validated Denture Satisfaction Scale.

Ependymoma is a malignant pediatric brain tumor, often incurable under the current treatment regimen. We aimed to evaluate the expression of microRNAs (miRs) in pediatric ependymoma tumors in an attempt to identify prognostic molecular markers which would lead to potential therapeutic targets. Following miR-array expression analysis, we focused on 9 miRs that correlated with relapse which were further validated by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) in a cohort of 67 patients.

Our aim was to identify miRNAs that can predict risk of relapse in pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Following high-throughput miRNA expression analysis (48 samples), five miRs were selected for further confirmation performed by real time quantitative PCR on a cohort of precursor B-cell ALL patients (n = 138). The results were correlated with clinical parameters and outcome.
