Aim: The aim of the study was to develop machine learning algorithms (MLA) for diagnosing acute graft dysfunction (AGD) in kidney transplant recipients based on contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) analysis of the graft.Materials and methods: This prospective study involved 71 patients with kidney transplant undergoing CEUS during follow-up. AGD wasdefined as an increase in serum creatinine levels of at least 25% compared to the baseline of the last three months.

During the current pandemic, the gap between fundamental research and clinical practice has been narrowing at a faster pace than ever before. While clinical trials play the main role of confirming the safety and efficacy of new drugs, a drug's introduction into clinical practice creates the need for further research in order to best position the use of the novel drug in terms of when, to whom, and how it would be best administered to achieve the best possible outcome under feasible clinical circumstances. We briefly present the results of a retrospective analysis of the characteristics of outpatients treated with molnupiravir in a tertiary care infectious disease hospital in Bucharest, Romania, between February and March 2022, when Romania was experiencing its fifth wave of COVID-19.

Recently, the antibacterial effects of essential oils have been investigated in addition to their therapeutic purposes. Owing to their hydrophobic nature, they are thought to perturb the integrity of the bacterial cell membrane, leading to cell death. Against such antibiotic challenges, bacteria develop mechanisms for cell envelope stress responses (CESR).

On some transverse geometrical structures of lifted foliation to its conormal bundle.

We consider the lift of a foliation to its conormal bundle and some transverse geometrical structures associated with this foliation are studied. We introduce a good vertical connection on the conormal bundle and, moreover, if the conormal bundle is endowed with a transversal Cartan metric, we obtain that the lifted foliation to its conormal bundle is a Riemannian one. Also, some transversally framed f(3, ε)-structures of corank 2 on the normal bundle of lifted foliation to its conormal bundle are introduced and an almost (para)contact structure on a transverse Liouville distribution is obtained.

Investigations of magnesium, histamine and immunoglobulins dynamics in acute urticaria.

In 42 urticaria patients, magnesium, histamine and IgE were dosed. Magnesium, IgE and histamine variations were followed in urticaria evolution, during acute phase and clinical remission. We noticed magnesium, histamine, IgE values variations depending on disease evolution and applied therapeutic scheme.
