Introduction: Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is often associated with atrial fibrosis, and both can provide the substrate for atrial fibrillation (AF). However, most AF patients have no evidence of left atrial (LA) fibrosis based on bipolar voltage mapping. We determined whether EAT differs in AF patients without LA fibrosis compared to matched controls without AF.

Background: There is a dearth of information regarding mpox risk perception and vaccine acceptance among people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), especially in countries with a dual burden of HIV and mpox, such as Nigeria.

Methods: We used an explanatory mixed methods design and structured questionnaires administered to a clinic-based sample of people living with HIV (n=430), followed by in-depth interviews with a purposive subsample (n=20). Data were analysed using binary logistic regression and the framework approach.

Background: Safflower thrives in dry environments but faces difficulties with flowering in wet and rainy summers. Flavonoids play a role in flower development and can potentially alleviate these challenges. Furthermore, the FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT) family of phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein (PEBP) genes play a crucial role in the photoperiodic flowering pathway.

The present work describes the synthesis of WO3-BiVO4- nanoflakes heterostructure (NFHs) by a single step hydrothermal method. The analysis of crystalline phases and structural behavior deduced the formation of good crystal quality WO3-BiVO4 NFHs. Under microscopic observation, the as-prepared WO3-BiVO4 displayed uniform and conspicuous nanoflakes like structures.
