The existence of few biomarkers and the lack of a better understanding of the pathophysiology of levodopa-induced dyskinesia (LID) in Parkinson's disease (PD) require new approaches, as the metabolomic analysis, for discoveries. We aimed to identify a metabolic profile associated with LID in patients with PD in an original cohort and to confirm the results in an external cohort (BioFIND). In the original cohort, plasma and CSF were collected from 20 healthy controls, 23 patients with PD without LID, and 24 patients with PD with LID.

This pathway plays a crucial role in converting arachidonic acid to hydroxyeicosatetraenoic (HETEs), epoxyeicosatrienoic (EETs), dihydroxyeicosatetraenoic acids (DiHETEs), and dihydroxyeicosatrienoic acids (DiHETrEs), which mediate several physiological and pathological functions.

Patients: 96 consecutive patients receiving regular HD were included. 20 adult patients without major renal, cardiovascular or metabolic morbidities served as controls.
is the agent of histoplasmosis, one of the most frequent mycoses in the world. The infection initiates with fungal spore inhalation, transformation into yeasts in the lungs and establishment of a granulomatous disease, which is characterized by a Th1 response. The production of Th1 signature cytokines, such as IFN-γ, is crucial for yeast clearance from the lungs, and to prevent dissemination.
