Comparison of single coronal thick-slab minimum intensity projection with flexible bronchoscopy for airway compression in children with lymphobronchial tuberculosis.

Aim: To generate standardised coronal minimum intensity projection (MinIP) computed tomography (CT) reconstructions, and compare these with flexible bronchoscopy in children with lymphobronchial tuberculosis (LBTB).

Materials And Methods: Standardised coronal MinIP reconstructions were performed from CT images in children with LBTB and the findings of three readers were compared with the reference standard, flexible bronchoscopy (FB), regarding airway narrowing. Intraluminal lesions, the site of the stenosis, and the degree of stenosis were also evaluated.

Bilateral costal cartilage fractures sustained in the gym during repeated bench press exercises.

Costal cartilage fractures are common in high-energy blunt chest trauma but are frequently missed on imaging evaluation and accordingly underreported in the literature. In this report, we describe a case of a 32-year-old male who sustained bilateral costal cartilage fractures following repeated blunt trauma in the gym sustained during bench press exercises. The patient presented with a painful "clicking" of a rib in and out of place while bending or turning sideways.

Multi inflammatory syndrome in a 16-year-old male following first dose of m-RNA COVID-19 vaccination.

Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS) is an uncommon systemic illness that occurs 4-6 weeks after primary infection with SARS-CoV-2. There are emerging reports of MIS arising following vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. We report a 16-year-old male with a multi system inflammatory condition meeting the case definition for MIS following BTN162b2 mRNA SARS-CoV-2 (Pfizer BioNTech) vaccine with no other identifiable precipitant or evidence of primary infection with SARS-Cov-2.

Clinicoradiological diagnosis: Cough-induced transdiaphragmatic intercostal herniation.

Transdiaphragmatic intercostal herniation can occur following blunt or penetrating trauma and is usually associated with rib fractures. It is uncommon and only sporadically reported in literature. We report a case of cough-induced intercostal herniation containing large bowel, on a background of sustaining a blunt chest trauma 25 years prior to presentation.
