Background: The body composition of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) athletes is well documented but no such data exist for university club sports athletes. Additionally, the majority of norms for NCAA athletes were created from individual methods requiring assumptions.
Objective: This study used a four-component (4C) model to measure the body composition of university club sports athletes.
Background: Down syndrome (DS) is the most common congenital neurodevelopmental disorder, present in about 1 in every 700 live births. Despite its prevalence, literature exploring the neurobiology underlying DS and how this neurobiology is related to behavior is limited. This study fills this gap by examining cortical volumes and behavioral correlates in school-age children with DS.

We previously demonstrated behavioral and immunomodulatory effects of beta-adrenergic pharmacology in mouse models of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The current studies were designed to block noradrenergic signaling in 5XFAD mice through (1) chemogenetic inhibition of the locus coeruleus (LC), (2) pharmacologic blocking of β-adrenergic receptors, and (3) conditional deletion of β1- or β2-adrenergic receptors (adrb1 or adrb2) in microglia.

The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation funded the Diagnostic Excellence Initiative (Initiative) to support the development of clinical quality measures needed to inform quality improvement efforts in medical diagnosis. We aimed to determine prevalence of PRISm in US primary care patients diagnosed with COPD, describe their demographic, clinical, and CT scan characteristics.
Methods: An observational registry study utilizing the US APEX COPD registry, composed of patients diagnosed with COPD aged 35+ years.
