The endocrine disruptor hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] is a proven reproductive toxicant. We recently demonstrated that prenatal Cr(VI) exposure causes testicular resistance to gonadotropins, resulting in hypergonadotropic hypoandrogenism in F rats. However, the mechanism driving hypergonadotropism in F rats exposed to Cr(VI) prenatally remains an enigma.

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder characterized by brain atrophy and cell death, leading to cognitive decline and impaired functioning. Previous research has primarily focused on using cross-sectional data for Alzheimer's disease identification, but analyzing longitudinal sequential MR images is crucial for improved diagnostic accuracy and understanding disease progression. However, existing deep learning models face challenges in learning spatial and temporal features from such data.

Background: Reports find that magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) and shear wave elastography (SWE) can classify intracranial tumors according to stiffness. However, systematic syntheses of these articles are lacking. In this report, a systematic review and meta-analysis was performed to evaluate whether SWE and MRE can predict meningioma and glioma grades.

Chronic exposure to cadmium (Cd), a class I carcinogen, leads to malignant transformation of normal prostate epithelial cells (RWPE-1). The constant generation of Cd-induced ROS and resulting ER stress induces cellular responses that are needed for cell survival, and autophagy has an important role in this process. However, the mechanisms that regulate Cd-induced ROS and how these differ in terms of acute and chronic cadmium exposure remain unexplained.
