Colic is a leading cause of mortality in horses, demanding precise and timely interventions. This study integrates machine learning and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) to predict survival outcomes in horses with colic, using clinical, procedural, and diagnostic data. Random forest and XGBoost emerged as top-performing models, achieving F1 scores of 85.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the potential effects of different doses of essential oil (Lavender EO) administered by inhalation on sleep latency and neuromodulators regulating the sleep/wake cycle in rats with total sleep deprivation (TSD).

Materials And Methods: Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups: Control, Alprazolam (ALP, 0.25 mg/kg given intraperitoneally), L1 (Lavender EO, 0.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to explore the connection between serum antidrug antibodies (ADAbs), hypersensitivity reactions, and local injection site reactions in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and rheumatoid arthritis who were on anti-TNF treatments.
  • Sixty-nine patients with ankylosing spondylitis and 46 with rheumatoid arthritis were evaluated, measuring their drug levels, disease activity scores, and conducting skin tests to assess hypersensitivity.
  • Results indicated a significant link between hypersensitivity reactions (both immediate and local) and the intradermal tests in patients taking anti-TNF drugs, particularly with adalimumab and etanercept.

Objectives: Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) is the most severe manifestation of peripheral artery disease (PAD) and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. The Naples prognostic score (NPS), a composite marker incorporating serum albumin, total cholesterol, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), has shown prognostic value in various cardiovascular conditions. This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic significance of the NPS in predicting all-cause mortality and any kind of amputation in patients with CLTI undergoing endovascular treatment (EVT) for below-the-knee (BTK) lesions.
