Purpose: To evaluate demographic profile, risk factors and outcomes following intraocular lens (IOL) exchange surgery for late decentration of IOLs in the dead bag syndrome DESIGN: Prospective, interventional case series PARTICIPANTS: 46 eyes (43 patients) with late decentration/dislocation of IOLs and spontaneous posterior capsule rupture in a clear and relatively intact capsular bag. None of the eyes had significant zonular weakness.

Methods: Study conducted at Raghudeep Eye Hospital, India.

Symmetrical wave ripples identified with NASA's Curiosity rover in ancient lake deposits at Gale crater provide a key paleoclimate constraint for early Mars: At the time of ripple formation, climate conditions must have supported ice-free liquid water on the surface of Mars. These features are the most definitive examples of wave ripples on another planet. The ripples occur in two stratigraphic intervals within the orbitally defined Layered Sulfate Unit: a thin but laterally extensive unit at the base of the Amapari member of the Mirador formation, and a sandstone lens within the Contigo member of the Mirador formation.

Ovarian cancer is known to be a challenging disease to detect at an early stage and is a major cause of death among women. The current treatment for ovarian cancer typically involves a combination of surgery and the use of drugs such as platinum-based cytotoxic agents, anti-angiogenic drugs, etc. However, current treatment methods are not always effective in preventing the recurrence of ovarian cancer.

The rover explored the region between the orbitally defined phyllosilicate-bearing Glen Torridon trough and the overlying layered sulfate-bearing unit, called the "clay-sulfate transition region." Samples were drilled from the top of the fluviolacustrine Glasgow member of the Carolyn Shoemaker formation (CSf) to the eolian Contigo member of the Mirador formation (MIf) to assess in situ mineralogical changes with stratigraphic position. The Sample Analysis at Mars-Evolved Gas Analysis (SAM-EGA) instrument analyzed drilled samples within this region to constrain their volatile chemistry and mineralogy.

Background: 40-45 % of the population presents with enlarged external occipital protuberances (EEOPs), which can lead to pain. EEOP occurrence is higher in younger males; however, the reason is debated. We used plane lateral radiographs to investigate how anthropometrics, age, biological sex, head and neck kinematics, and neck strength differ between those with and without an EEOP.
