Background: This systematic review and meta-analysis compared the accuracy of robotic-assisted dental implant placement (r-CAIS) with conventional freehand, static computer-assisted (s-CAIS), and dynamic computer-assisted (d-CAIS) techniques.

Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and the Cochrane Library from January 2000 to January 2024. Studies meeting PICOST criteria, including clinical and in vitro studies, were included.

Resistance to chimaeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy develops through multiple mechanisms, most notably antigen loss and tumour-induced immune suppression. It has been suggested that T cells expressing multiple CARs may overcome the resistance of tumours and that T cells expressing receptors that switch inhibitory immune-checkpoint signals into costimulatory signals may enhance the activity of the T cells in the tumour microenvironment. However, engineering multiple features into a single T cell product is difficult because of the transgene-packaging constraints of current gene-delivery vectors.

Management of Inflammatory Phlegmon in Appendicitis: Comparing the Role of Emergency vs. Interval Appendectomy at a Single Institution.

Background Acute appendicitis remains a common surgical pathology, with the accepted standard of care being appendectomy. However, in cases of acute appendicitis complicated by an inflammatory phlegmon, a dilemma remains regarding the best management options. The aim of our study was to examine the outcomes for patients with an appendiceal phlegmon, comparing emergency appendectomy with those who had initial conservative management followed by subsequent interval appendectomy.

Evaluation of the accuracy of a simplified hybrid method versus the traditional digital method for measuring palatal volume.

Objective: This study aimed to compare a direct conventional 3D digital technique vis a vis a hybrid method in measuring palatal volume.

Materials And Methods: Thirty maxillary casts were obtained from the records of patients undergoing orthodontic treatment and pre-conceived boundaries of the palatal vault were marked. Sample was categorised into Group I (Volume estimation using CBCT scan) and Group II (Volume estimation using hybrid method).
