Tissue engineering as applied to urologic pathology is covered extremely poor in the literature despite recently gaining popularity of regenerative medicine. The review reflects the current problems associated with reconstructive surgery of the urinary bladder, experience of the researchers from the United States in implementing cellular technologies for bladder replacement, the problems and prospects of this direction in case of such a severe pathology, as fibrous transformated bladder.

The proteomic analysis has showed that red cell membrane contains several kinases and phosphatases. Therefore the aim of this study was to investigate the role of protein kinases of human red cell membrane in deformability and aggregation changes. Exposure of red blood cells (RBCs) to some chemical compounds led to change in the RBC microrheological properties.

Blood theological properties in patients with phlegmons of maxillofacial area before treatment, immediately after surgical treatment and after surgical treatment combined with reamberin therapy were examined in the study. Negatively changed theological profile values somewhat improved after operation, mainly because of blood and serum viscosity decrease by 10-11% and blood transport capability enhancement. But significant positive macro- and microrheological changes was only received by surgical treatment combined with reamberin.

Influence of a new xanthine derivative SUM-55 on microrheological properties erythrocytes in rats with experimental diabetes has been investigated. It is shown that compound SUM-55 significantly reduces aggregation and increases deformability of erythrocytes. Comparative analysis showed that SUM-55 is comparable with pentoxyphylline in the ability to reduce aggregation of erythrocytes and is superior to the reference drug in increasing deformability of red bloodcells.
