Angiogenesis begins as endothelial cells migrate, forming a sprouting tip and subsequent growth-rich stalk cells. Here, we present a protocol for transcriptomic and epigenomic analyses of tip-like cells in cultured endothelial cells. We describe steps for stimulating human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) with vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF) to generate tip-like cells.

The promises and limits of standardisation through paper-based technologies: An ethnographic exploration of integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI) in Bangladesh.

Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) is a strategy that aims to standardise clinical assessment and treatment of sick children. In this article, we examine the aspirations and unfolding of introducing a revised IMCI strategy in Bangladesh. We carried out ethnographic fieldwork among project implementors and in IMCI health service delivery settings in Kushtia district, including 36 semi-structured interviews with policymakers, programmers and IMCI service providers.

Prevalence, Risk Factors, and Quality of Life of Knee Osteoarthritis in Urban Community in Indonesia: A COPCORD Study.

Aim: This study evaluates the prevalence, risk factors, and quality of life of patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) in the Indonesian population.

Method: A cross-sectional study of 3597 adults (≥ 18 years old) was conducted in 2023 involving 15 different cities in Indonesia. Knee OA was classified according to the clinical ACR criteria.

Methods: We conducted a secondary analysis of data from the nationally representative Service Provision Assessment (SPA) surveys conducted between 2015 and 2024 across three regions in seven low- and middle-income countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia, Senegal, and Haiti.

Bowel Obstruction After Gastric Bypass Surgery: A Narrative Review.

Bowel obstruction is a common complication that can affect patients due to different factors, including after a history of gastric bypass surgery. This review was conducted by searching the literature using both PubMed and Google Scholar for articles relating to bowel obstructions. Fifty-six articles were found after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria.
