[Experience of high frequency electric welding in endocrine surgery].

The comparative analsis of the effectiveness of surgical interventions performed by the standard method and using electric welding technology in endocrine surgery was hold. Compared duration of surgery, amount of intraoperatve blood loss, frequency of intra- and early postoperative complications. Found that the use of weding technology ensures shorter duration of surgery, on average by 30%, amount of blood loss--by 20-50%, the frequency of intra- and early postoperative complications.

[Clinical and epidemiological aspects of medullary thyroid carcinoma in Ukraine].

Analyzed data from 232 patients with medullary thyroid carcinoma who were treated in the surgical department of the Institute from 1979 to 2012 (inclusive). Found that the analyzed cohort of patients to meet other samples in such characteristics as age of patients and the distribution of the forms of the disease (sporadic, familial, in the syndrome MEN-2B). At the same time it is shown that the number of patients with sporadic medullary carcinoma from the end of the century the alien has increased significantly mainly due to the increase in the number of female patients.

[Laparoscopic adrenalectomy in surgery of the adrenal gland diseases].

In 2002-2012 yrs in The Department of Laparoscopic Surgery and Choledocholithiasis laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) for various adrenal gland diseases was done in 94 patients. The operation time while doing right-sided and left-sided LA have had constituted, accordingly, at average (73.6 +/- 12.

[The use of phytotherapy for treatment of thyroid diseases].

The main tasks during treatment of hyperplastic thyroid diseases--to stop the growth of thyroid nodules; compensation of hypothyrosis; normalization of thyroid size. One of the perspective methods in combine therapy of diffuse and mix goiter is a phytotherapy. The most often for thyroid diseases we have used the plant drug Polentilla alba, which on Ukrainian market was registered as "Alba".

[Application of high frequency electric welding in adrenal surgery. Current state and prospects].

In 14 patients underwent open adrenalectomy with high-frequency electric welding application (I group), in 8 - open adrenalectomy (II group). The two groups were compared: duration of surgery, blood loss, postoperative pain intensity, duration of postoperative hospitalization, the frequency of intra-and postoperative complications, histological changes in tissues. The advantages of open adrenalectomy with high-frequency electric welding application feel less duration of surgery and estimated blood loss, lack of necrosis in the surrounding tissues and foreign bodies in the wound, reducing the trauma of surgery, improving rehabilitation.
