Introduction: For four years, SARS-CoV-2, the etiological agent of COVID-19, has been circulating among humans. By the end of the second year, an absence of immunologically naive individuals was observed, attributable to extensive immunization efforts and natural viral exposure. This study focuses on delineating the molecular and biological patterns that facilitate the persistence of SARS-CoV-2, thereby informing predictions on the epidemiological trajectory of COVID-19 toward refining pandemic countermeasures.

The functional traits of soil protists have been employed in ecological research to enhance comprehension of the underlying mechanisms of ecological processes. Among the numerous soil protists, testate amoebae emerge as a prominent and abundant group, playing a pivotal role in soil micro-food webs. Furthermore, they are regarded as valuable bioindicators for environmental monitoring and palaeoecological studies due to their sensitivity to environmental changes.

Article Synopsis
  • * The study tested the effectiveness of a new drug, DOKSI AVZ 500, on Yorkshire piglets with respiratory issues, comparing it to a standard drug, TETRAMAX 500, over a treatment period of 3 to 5 days.
  • * Results showed that both drugs were well tolerated, leading to quick recovery in about 4 days, normalization of health indicators, and significant weight gain, making DOKSI AVZ 500 a strong candidate for use in veterinary practice alongside TETRAMAX 500.

Background: Testate amoebae are a polyphyletic group of unicellular eukaryotic organisms that are characterised by a rigid shell and inhabit mostly freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems. They are particularly abundant in peatlands, especially in -dominated biotopes. Peatland hydrology is the most important influence on testate amoebae communities.
