Biorhythms of protein content in rat retinal ganglion cells during pregnancy are sensitive to exposure to natural gas of the Astrakhan gas condensate plant. Diurnal rhythm of sensitivity to hydrogen sulfide was revealed.

Peculiarities of vascular plexus structure in amphibian brain.

Structural peculiarities of the epithelium and connective tissue stroma of vascular plexuses in amphibian brain are examined. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the pool of cell regulators of regional hemodynamics during normothermy and deep winter torpidity are determined.

[Effects of early monocular deprivation because of leukoma or cataract on the development of the retina].

The development of a normal retina and a retina with an early one-side occlusion in consequence of a cataract or a wall-eye was studied. Autoradiographically and with the help of a scanning cytophotometry method a normal maturing of a retina was shown to be finished in fourteen days of postnatal development without any significant changes. The degenerative changes of ganglion-cells ensuing the maturity of retina were discovered during the experiment.

[Tissue-specific retinal proteins in vertebrate evolution].

Studies have been made on water soluble antigens of the retina from man and some animals. In the bovine retina, immunochemical analysis reveals, apart from antigens with a broad and narrow interorganic specificity, organospecific alpha 1- and rho-globulins. Immunochemically, the bovine alpha 1-globulin is partially identical with the same protein of the human retina and completely identical to retinal antigens from cattle; rho-globulin is characterized as an interspecific antigen in man and mammals.
