Rare histopathological diagnosis of malakoplakia and Rosai‑Dorfman disease in the same uterus mimicking malignancy: A case report.

In the present case, a 66-year-old woman presented to the Specialty Hospital (Amman, Jordan) with recurrent post-menopausal bleeding. A pelvic ultrasound scan showed an abnormal endometrial thickness of 8 mm and no adnexal masses. An endometrial biopsy revealed abundant foamy histiocyte infiltration features suggestive of xanthogranulomatous endometritis.

Dental Decision-Making in Pediatric Dentistry: A Cross-Sectional Case-Based Questionnaire Among Dentists in Germany.

: The most recent guidelines and recommendations regarding treatments of dental caries in children are shifting towards evidence-based minimal or non-invasive approaches aiming to preserve the vitality of teeth and potentially reduce the need for dental general anesthesia. This study investigated the treatment recommendations of dentists actively practicing pediatric dentistry in Germany regarding different patient cases with caries in primary teeth. The questionnaire was distributed on paper or online to pediatric dentists and general dentists practicing pediatric dentistry.

Can clinicians identify community-acquired pneumonia on ultralow-dose CT? A diagnostic accuracy study.

Background: Without increasing radiation exposure, ultralow-dose computed tomography (CT) of the chest provides improved diagnostic accuracy of radiological pneumonia diagnosis compared to a chest radiograph. Yet, radiologist resources to rapidly report the chest CTs are limited. This study aimed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of emergency clinicians' assessments of chest ultralow-dose CTs for community-acquired pneumonia using a radiologist's assessments as reference standard.

Predictors of the onset of low handgrip strength in Europe: a longitudinal study of 42,183 older adults from 15 countries.

Objectives: A low handgrip strength (HGS) is a significant risk factor for multiple diseases. However, most relevant studies investigate the complications of a low HGS, while the risk potential of causative factors of low HGS remain poorly characterized.

Methods: We investigated the potentials of quality of life, depression, dyslipidaemia, diabetes mellitus, cancer, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, frailty, and difficulties performing daily activities in predicting low HGS (≤ 27 kg for men, ≤ 16 kg for women) in European older adults aged 50 or above from 15 countries (n = 42,183).

Predictors of hip fracture in 15 European countries: a longitudinal study of 48,533 geriatric adults using SHARE dataset.

Unlabelled: We investigated the risk factors for hip fracture in 48,533 European older adults for 8 years from 2013 onward. We identified female gender, age above 80, low handgrip strength, and depression as significant risk factors for hip fracture. Our findings may help identify high-risk populations for hip fractures in pre-clinical settings.
