Acute dystonia is a neurological condition characterized by involuntary muscle contractions that can affect various parts of the body. This narrative review consolidates existing literature on genetic mutations across key urologic cancers, including bladder, renal, prostate, upper tract urothelial, testicular, and penile. The review highlights mutations in DNA damage repair genes, such as BRCA1/2 and PTEN, as well as pathway alterations like FGFR and PD-L1 overexpression.

We present the following case of a 24-year-old man with a history of schizoaffective disorder, obesity, and anxiety, who developed hypertriglyceridemia-induced acute pancreatitis after six months on olanzapine. Despite his adherence to the medication, routine metabolic monitoring was not performed leading to a delayed diagnosis of hypertriglyceridemia and subsequent complications.

Most breast implants currently used in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery have a silicone outer shell, which, despite much progress, remains susceptible to mechanical failure, infection, and foreign body response. This study shows that the durability and biocompatibility of breast implant-grade silicone can be enhanced by incorporating carbon nanomaterials of sp and sp hybridization into the polymer matrix and onto its surface. Plasma treatment of the implant surface can be used to modify platelet adhesion and activation to prevent thrombosis, postoperative infection, and inflammation disorders.
