The global prevalence of counterfeit and low-quality pharmaceuticals poses significant health risks and challenges in medical treatments, creating a need for rapid and reliable drug screening technologies. This study introduces a cost-effective electrochemical paper-based device (ePAD) modified with functionalized bamboo-derived biochar (BCF) for the detection of paracetamol in substandard medicines. The sensor was fabricated using a custom 3D-printed stencil in PLA, designed for efficient production, and a 60:40 (m/m) graphite (GR) and glass varnish (GV) conductive ink, resulting in a robust and sensitive platform.

The atmosphere is an alternative freshwater reservoir that has universal availability and could be harvested as drinking water. In order to effectively perform atmospheric water harvesting (AWH), we need to (1) understand how different climate regions (e.

The valorized products were examined using Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis and X-ray Diffraction analysis to confirm uniform dispersion and entrapment of AgNPs within the matrixes. These valorized products were evaluated for their efficacy in detoxifying the ubiquitous and toxic hexavalent chromium (Cr) in aquatic environments, with Anabas testudineus exposed to 2 mg l of Cr for 60 days.

The IIP was grafted on paper and integrated into the μPAD for separation of Cd(II) through multi-layer design. The paper-based screen printed carbon electrode (pSPCE) modified with reduced graphene oxide was fabricated and combined with the μPAD for electrochemical sensing of the separated Cd(II).
