Purpose: Hydrogen (H) gas inhalation might alleviate acute radiotherapy toxicities by scavenging free radicals produced by ionizing radiation and anti-inflammatory properties. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility and safety of H gas inhalation during concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer (LAHNC).
Patients And Methods: We designed a pilot prospective study combining CCRT with aerosol inhalation of H gas.
Background: A previous longitudinal study of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Assessment Test (CAT) score changes suggested patients fall into 3 patterns: stable, improving, and worsening. This study assessed the evolution of CAT scores over time and its relationship to exacerbations.
Methods: In total, 84 participants used a telemedicine platform to complete CAT weekly for 52 weeks.

Background: Telemedicine may help the detection of symptom worsening in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), potentially resulting in improved outcomes. This study aimed to determine the feasibility and acceptability of telemedicine among patients with COPD and physicians and facility staff in Japan.
Methods: This was a 52-week multicenter, prospective, single-arm, feasibility and acceptability cohort study of Japanese patients ≥40 years of age with COPD or asthma-COPD overlap.
An association between Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome (BHDS) and colon cancer remains conjectural, but herein we describe a case who may illustrate a significant link between them. The 60-year-old woman was diagnosed at 28 years of age with colon carcinoma and familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP). She also had repeated pneumothoraces, and was diagnosed with BHDS following the finding of pneumothorax in her son.

In addition, the performance status of cancer patients under immunotherapy was examined.
Experimental Design: Over 5 × 10(9) alpha-beta T lymphocytes cultured ex vivo with an immobilized anti-CD3 antibody and interleukin-2 were injected intravenously into patients, once every 2 weeks for 3 months or longer.
