Serious games in child and adolescent health education campaigns: a systematic review.

Background: The use of playful tools to promote children's and adolescents' health in schools is growing. Educational games are proven tools for promoting virtuous behaviours. This systematic review explores the significance of serious games in promoting health education among young audiences, particularly about hand, oral and respiratory hygiene, immunisation, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and sexually transmitted infections.

Incidental Parathyroidectomy After Thyroid Surgery: A Single-Center Study.

Lung-Protective Mechanical Ventilation in Patients with Severe Acute Brain Injury: A Multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial (PROLABI).

Lung-protective strategies using low Vt and moderate positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) are considered best practice in critical care, but interventional trials have never been conducted in patients with acute brain injuries because of concerns about carbon dioxide control and the effect of PEEP on cerebral hemodynamics. To test the hypothesis that ventilation with lower VT and higher PEEP compared to conventional ventilation would improve clinical outcomes in patients with acute brain injury. In this multicenter, open-label, controlled clinical trial, 190 adult patients with acute brain injury were assigned to receive either a lung-protective or a conventional ventilatory strategy.

The impact of COVID-19 on the European short-term rental market.

The diffusion of COVID-19 and related containment measures practically halted tourism flows, which in many countries generate a significant share of GDP. By leveraging Airbnb data covering the main touristic destinations in Europe, we investigate the impact of the pandemic on the market for short-term rentals up to early 2021. We find that the epidemic reduced dramatically both the supply of apartments available for rents and customers' demand, with travellers cancelling many reservations and reducing new bookings even many months in advance.
