Objective: To analyze the risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients hospitalized in general hospitals in the Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang, and to construct and verify the nomogram prediction model for the risk of CHD.
Methods: From June 2022 to June 2023, 489 CHD patients (CHD group) and 520 non-CHD individuals (control group) in Tacheng, Xinjiang, were retrospectively selected. Using a 7:3 ratio, patients were divided into a training group (706 cases) and a validation group (303 cases).
Background: Myocardial fibrosis, a hallmark of heart disease, is closely associated with macrophages, yet the genetic pathophysiology remains incompletely understood. In this study, we utilized integrated single-cell transcriptomics and bulk RNA-seq analysis to investigate the relationship between macrophages and myocardial fibrosis across omics integration.
Methods: We examined and curated existing single-cell data from dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM), myocardial infarction (MI), and heart failure (HF), and analyzed the integrated data using cell communication, transcription factor identification, high dimensional weighted gene co-expression network analysis (hdWGCNA), and functional enrichment to elucidate the drivers of macrophage polarization and the macrophage-to-myofibroblast transition (MMT).
Background: Diabetes is a serious global health concern which severely affected public health as well as socio-economic growth worldwide. Scutellarin (SCU), a bioactive flavonoid, is known for its efficacious action against a range of ailments including cardiovascular problems. The present study was conducted to find out possible protective effect and its associated mechanisms of SCU on experimental type 2 diabetes-induced cardiac injury.

In this study, we investigated the clinical efficacy of ozonated water lavage and physiological saline irrigation combined with vacuum-sealed drainage (VSD) in the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis.
Methods: Eighteen patients (14 men and 4 women) with chronic osteomyelitis in the limbs (tibia: 13 cases; femur: 4 cases; humerus: 1 case) admitted to our hospital between April 2012 and October 2018 were selected.
