Aim: To review the current data on cognitive and psychological characteristics of patients with CAA and on the instruments used for their evaluation.

Methods: A systematic search was performed in Embase, Scopus and PubMed with terms related to "cerebral amyloid angiopathy", "neuropsychological measures" and "patient-reported outcome measures" from January 2001 to December 2021.

Results: Out of 2851 records, 18 articles were selected.

In the present study, we leveraged computational methods to explore the extent to which, relative to direct access to semantics from orthographic cues, the additional appreciation of morphological cues is advantageous while inducing the meaning of affixed pseudo-words. We re-analyzed data from a study on a lexical decision task for affixed pseudo-words. We considered a parsimonious model only including semantic variables (namely, semantic neighborhood density, entropy, magnitude, stem proximity) derived through a word-form-to-meaning approach (ngram-based).

Stress during the early postnatal life of laboratory animals can induce body weight gain in adulthood. Exposure of mice to repeated postnatal stress has been shown to increase body weight some weeks after the recording of a hyposensitivity to thermal nociceptive stimulation. Since the increase in nociceptive threshold after repeated environmental manipulations can be interpreted as a behavioral index of stress-induced endogenous opioid release, the present experiment was designed to study whether the stress-induced body weight gain could be prevented by a chronic treatment with the opioid antagonist naloxone.

During the first 3 weeks of life, four litters of CD-1 male mice were daily handled (HA group) and four other litters were left undisturbed (UHA group). At 35 days of life, mice underwent the tail flick (TF) and hot plate (HP) tests to measure the baseline reaction to thermal nociceptive stimulation. At the age of 50, 80, and 140 days body weight was measured.

Ultradian rhythmicity has been showed in many behavioural parameters in animals as well as in humans. We investigated the existence of a Basic Rest-Activity Cycle (BRAC) rhythm in amplitude fluctuations of mice's visual evoked potential (VEP) primary component.
