Aim: The aim of this study was to uncover what it is like to be a novice peer reviewer for journals that publish articles that can influence nursing education and/or practice.
Background: Comprehensive and effective approaches to reviewer development, based on reviewer experience, were not reported in the literature.
Method: The study followed a hermeneutic phenomenological approach.
Purpose: Club sports are competitive, intercollegiate athletics that are not affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Club athletes may be at increased risk of injury compared to their NCAA counterparts due to limited resources, such as reduced access to strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers. Research has shown that injury-prevention education, as typically provided by coaches and trainers, can reduce injury rates and promote athlete compliance with safety practices.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: To assess the current treatment of osteochondral lesions of the ankle (OCLA) by German-speaking foot and ankle surgeons, focusing on the management of postoperative care and rehabilitation.
Design: A questionnaire was created by a panel of 4 experienced foot and ankle surgeons on behalf of the "Clinical Tissue Regeneration" (CTR) working group of the German Society of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (DGOU), and distributed electronically to members of the CTR, participants of the German Cartilage Registry (Knorpelregister DGOU©), and members of 6 German-speaking orthopedics or sports medicine societies. Results were classified depending on the consensus within the answers (agreement ≥75% "strong tendency," 50%-74% "tendency," 25%-49% "weak tendency," <25% "no tendency").
Importance: Mechanisms contributing to disability accumulation in multiple sclerosis (MS) are poorly understood. Blood neurofilament light chain (NfL) level, a marker of neuroaxonal injury, correlates robustly with disease activity in people with MS (MS); however, data on the association between NfL level and disability accumulation have been conflicting.
Objective: To determine whether and when NfL levels are elevated in the context of confirmed disability worsening (CDW).
