Purpose: Vulvodynia and vaginismus are pain disorders associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes. The few published studies addressing this topic were limited in terms of the different outcomes studied; hence, the purpose of our study was to perform the first systematic review examining maternal, neonatal and obstetric outcomes in patients with vulvodynia and/or vaginismus (VV).

Methods: We conducted a systematic review searching PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library and SCOPUS until November 2023 for observational studies reporting maternal and/or neonatal outcomes of VV in pregnancy.

Background And Objectives: Over the course of their career, 66% of neurosurgeons will witness someone accidentally dropping a bone flap on the floor during a craniotomy procedure. Although this event is rare, it can have significant consequences for the patient, and little literature is available to guide management of this complication. Our objective was to compare 5 bone flap decontamination protocols for efficacy in reducing bacterial load, with the goal of safely reimplanting the dropped flap.

Fatigue curves quantify fish swimming performance, providing information about the time ([Formula: see text]) fish can swim against a steady flow velocity () before fatiguing. In the context of increasing environmental contamination, our study employed fish as bioindicators, focusing on non-invasive cortisol measurements in scales and fins in response to severe PFAS pollution in the Veneto area of Italy. Our preliminary findings showed species-specific stress responses, as observed in Squalius cephalus and Padogobius bonelli, suggesting the need for broader biomonitoring to capture the complex impact of environmental stressors on aquatic organisms.
