Objective: The aim: To investigate and evaluate the effect of TEC therapy on the wound process.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: On the models of clean, purulent and purulent-necrotic wounds in a comparative aspect, the wound process in the dynamics of wound healing in dental patients was studied in 233 patients, of which 105 were treated with TES therapy and 128 were treated with traditional treatment. A monitoring evaluation of the wound process was carried out based on the screening of the cytological picture of the wound contents, the study of the types of cytograms of smears-imprints from the wound on the 3rd, 6th and 9th days after surgical interventions.

Objective: Obesity is a major public health issue with significant impact on quality of life, morbidity and mortality rates. It is estimated that if the current trends continue, 18% of men and 21% of women worldwide will be obese by 2025. All the current therapies are not optimal due to limited efficacy or safety; thus, there is a need for additional devices for the treatment of obesity.

Article Synopsis
  • The study explores the biological reasons behind abdominal obesity in patients on maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) with normal body mass index (BMI) compared to those who are overweight or obese.
  • Patients with normal BMI who had abdominal obesity were found to consume less protein, had lower body composition reserves, and showed greater signs of inflammation than their overweight counterparts.
  • The findings suggest that normal-weight MHD patients with abdominal obesity face worse health outcomes, indicating the need to reconsider how abdominal obesity is assessed in this population.

Background And Aims: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is largely preventable with routine screening and surveillance colonoscopy; however, interval cancers arising from precancerous lesions missed by standard colonoscopy still occur. An increased adenoma detection rate (ADR) has been found to be inversely associated with interval cancers. The G-EYE device includes a reusable balloon integrated at the distal tip of a standard colonoscope, which flattens haustral folds, centralizes the colonoscope's optics, and reduces bowel slippage.

Purpose: Ischemic retinal damage can be reversed by hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) as long as irreversible infarction damage has not developed. However, the time window till irreversible damage develops is still unknown. The study aim was to evaluate the effect of HBOT and determine possible markers for irreversible retinal damage.
