Objective: To assess the carbon footprint, accessibility, and diagnostic performance of an expedited 'One-Stop' prostate cancer (PCa) diagnostic pathway.
Materials And Methods: A total of 1083 consecutive patients undergoing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) followed by transrectal ultrasound fusion-guided prostate biopsy (PBx) were identified from a prospective database. The patients were divided according to the diagnostic pathway: One-Stop, with MRI and same-day PBx (3 hours apart), or Standard, with MRI followed by a second visit for PBx.
Purpose: To assess the retinal microvasculature of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) patients using Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA).
Methods: Twenty adult SLE patients without disease activity and no ocular manifestations were recruited and cross-sectionally assessed. A demographically similar cohort of healthy subjects was used for comparison.
Desmoplastic small round cell tumors (DSRCTs) of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract are a rare and highly aggressive variant of soft tissue sarcomas, predominantly affecting the abdominal region. These tumors are believed to originate from multipotent mesenchymal stem cells or primitive progenitor cells. They are composed of small round tumor cells associated with prominent stromal desmoplasia, polyphenotypic differentiation, and gene fusion.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAquablation for lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) has been adopted to treat a wide range of prostate anatomies including glands up to 150 cc. Patients with recurrence of LUTS after previous BPH procedure often present with variant anatomy, and a paucity of literature exists on the optimal treatment modality for these patients. Herein, we evaluate the safety and feasibility of aquablation in patients with previous BPH surgical history.
