Background: The internet serves as a major source of information for patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty (THA). However, prior research has shown that online medical information often exceeds recommended readability levels, posing a barrier to patient comprehension. The average reading level in the United States is between 7th and 8th grade, while leading health organizations recommend that patient information not exceed a 6th-grade level.

Purpose: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to establish the relationship between the number of procedures a hospital or surgeon performs with outcomes following revision knee replacement (RevKR).
Methods: MEDLINE and Embase were searched using Ovid silver platter up to December 2024 for randomised controlled trials and cohort studies that reported RevKR volumes, in at least two categories, performed by hospitals and surgeons and their relationship to patient and provider level outcomes. The primary outcome was re-revision rate.
We present a SNP-based crossover map for Drosophila mauritiana. Using females derived by crossing two different strains of D. mauritiana, we analyzed crossing over on all five major chromosome arms.

Here we present findings of a study conducted in the North West of England, exploring how groups and organisations adapted and responded to local needs at this time.
Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews with 'key informants' within local community voluntary, charity, faith or social enterprise (VCFSE) sector groups and organisations (n = 19) and large/ medium employers within any sector (n = 6).
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic halted elective orthopaedic surgeries, necessitating alternative consultation methods. Virtual consultations emerged as a solution to manage elective waiting lists for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, stenosing tenosynovitis and Dupuytren's contractures. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and patient satisfaction of virtual consultations in an upper-limb orthopaedic clinic.
