Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the fluoride intake of 2-6-year-old Brazilian children using a semiquantitative food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) which also estimated fluoride intake from dentifrice.
Methods: The FFQ was previously validated through application to 78 2-6-year-old Brazilian children and then administered to 379 children residing in an optimally fluoridated community in Brazil (Bauru, State of São Paulo). The FFQ was applied to the parents and used to estimate the food intake of the children.

Methods: This study is a semiquantitative retrospective analysis of radiologic contrast ventriculography in patients with chronic Chagas' disease, who were consecutively studied to assess the mechanisms of ventricular tachycardia.
Results: Of the 72 patients initially included, in only 20 patients was possible the ventriculographic analysis for the purposes of this study.
Since its onset, liposuction has revolutionized the treatment of lipodystrophies. The authors, adept at superficial liposuction and associated with the tumescent technique of anesthetic infiltration, demonstrate the importance of the use of proper cannulas during many surgical steps, and propose a classification according to their main physical characteristics. After a detailed explanation and general consideration of the technique used, the authors describe the different approaches for specific body regions (isolated or associated) and present several superior and unique results attained using superficial liposuction in body contouring.
