Background/objectives: Tetanus is a serious, non-contagious infection caused by , which remains a global health threat despite the availability of an effective vaccine. The current state of immunization for agricultural workers in Italy reveals significant disparities, reflecting a non-homogeneous distribution of vaccination coverage across regions and subgroups. The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence of tetanus antibodies in a cohort of agricultural workers in Eastern Sicily in order to evaluate possible public health strategies for improving vaccination coverage.

Red blood cells (RBCs) are highly specialized cells with a limited metabolic repertoire. However, it has been demonstrated that metabolic processes are affected by the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and critical enzymes allied to metabolic pathways can be impaired by redox reactions. Thus, oxidative stress-induced alternations in the metabolic pathways can contribute to cell dysfunction of human RBCs.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess patient satisfaction and clinical experience with the t:slim X2 with Control-IQ Technology automated insulin delivery system.

Methods: This descriptive study used a retrospective electronic health record review of all individuals trained on the Control-IQ system between December 2019 and April 2022 in one adult endocrinology practice. A total of 99 patients using the Control-IQ system for at least 3 months completed the glucose monitoring satisfaction survey (GMSS).
