Introduction: This case report describes a rare parotid abscess complicated by facial palsy in a child and the outcomes after treatment.
Case Presentation: We report the second case of pediatric PA complicated by facial nerve palsy in a healthy 12-year-old child with good oral hygiene. The patient presented with an acute painful right parotid swelling, with localized fluctuance.

Objective: We sought to better define surgical etiquette and elucidate operating room (OR) personnel expectations of medical students to determine areas for medical education improvement.
Design: A questionnaire probing medical student performance regarding elements of OR etiquette was developed. Questions were designed to obtain structured feedback through Likert scales and open-ended responses.
Traumatic thoracic aortic injuries (TTAI) are associated with high rates of morbidity and mortality. They are classified according to the extent of damage and computed tomography angiography has the highest sensitivity and specificity for identifying the degree of injury and potential associated lesions. Treatment strategies for TTAI are based on the type and extent of injury and associated lesions.
