Background: Timely use of Sacubitril/Valsartan has the potential to significantly improve cardiac function and dramatically reduce secondary mitral regurgitation (MR) severity even in patients presenting with acute decompensated heart failure (HF), not only in compensated chronic HF patients. The outstanding impact of echocardiography is obvious in monitoring improvement of cardiac function and MR severity in patients with HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).
Case Summary: We report a relevant case of an elderly patient who presented with acute decompensated HF and severe MR.
Background: Nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has varying epidemiological patterns in different countries and also in different regions of each country. In a country with a high prevalence of lung cancer such as India, regional variations in demography exist.
Aim: A study of unique demographic trends of metastatic NSCLC patients presenting to our regional cancer center.
Introduction: Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) is a rare and aggressive type of mature B-cell lymphoma, which is usually associated with HIV infection. The most common site of PBL is the oral cavity. Involvement of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract is rare, and literature is limited to few case reports and case series.

The vast majority of cases are of the B-cell type and T-cell PCNSL is rare. Here, we report an 18-year-old male who presented with fever, headache, and history of seizures.

Vancomycin is the drug of choice in the treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection. However, the presence of certain clinical complications like renal failure alters vancomycin pharmacokinetics, leading to drug accumulation and toxicity. This highlights the need to identify an effective substitute for treating MRSA infections when vancomycin cannot be used.
