In this study, commercial products formulated from polyethylene (PE) with pro-oxidant additives, were subjected to abiotic and biotic environments. The materials were presumed to be oxo-biodegradable plastics with thicknesses varying between 30 and 70 μm, and calcium carbonate (CaCO) filler content reaching up to 11 wt%. Accelerated (aging) weathering tests conducted revealed that UV radiation triggered the biodegradation mechanism.

Methods: Oral and dental examinations were carried out in 98 children with cleft lip and palate and 98 unaffected subjects matching in gender and age, using the standard dental indices dmft and DMFT. Plaque and gingival indices were scored using the plaque and gingival indices of Silness and Löe.
Purpose: This study aimed at determining the most reliable ala-tragus line as a guide for the orientation of the occlusal plane in complete denture patients by use of cephalometric landmarks on dentate volunteers.
Materials And Methods: Analysis was made for prosthodontically related craniofacial reference lines and angles of lateral cephalometric radiographs taken for 47 dentate adults. Variables were determined and data were analyzed using SPSS (SPSS, Inc.
Background: Some studies suggest that females with osteoporosis are at an increased risk of periodontal attachment loss and tooth loss; however, results have varied. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between periodontitis and osteoporosis among postmenopausal Jordanian women.
Methods: This cross-sectional study includes 400 Jordanian postmenopausal women with a mean age of 62.
Objectives: To determine root lengths of fully developed permanent teeth of cleft lip and palate (CLP) patients and to define their crown-root (C/R) ratios.
Method: Crown height and root length of permanent teeth were measured from panoramic radiographs of 44 CLP patients and 37 controls. A total of 1397 teeth were measured, and C/R ratios were calculated.
