We present a case study of neotricuspidization of the aortic valve with neocusp suturing based on templates similar to those used in the Ozaki procedure but adapted for infants. This is an alternative for patients when valve reconstruction is impossible or risky. A good postoperative hemodynamic outcome was obtained, but it is necessary to evaluate this approach on the basis of long-term results.

Article Synopsis
  • The study compares two methods, xenogeneic collagen matrix (XCM) and subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG), for increasing soft tissue thickness at dental implant sites in a sample of 30 patients.
  • Results showed that SCTG led to a greater average increase in soft tissue thickness (1.55 mm) compared to XCM (1.18 mm), with SCTG also having a shorter operation time.
  • Overall, while SCTG outperformed XCM in tissue gain, XCM may still be a viable option for soft tissue augmentation in certain clinical situations.

The authors suggested a new method of performance of open, laparoscopic and robot-assisted partial nephrectomy using specially developed instruments for selective parenchyma clamping in order to improve the functional results of renal cell carcinoma treatment. The operation with clamping of renal vessels was carried out in 86 cases and clamping of renal parenchyma was used in 24 cases. It was shown, that the open, laparoscopic and robot-assisted partial nephrectomy could be safely performed in conditions of selective ischemia of the renal parenchyma without clamping of renal vessels.
