The Stockholm Early Detection of Cancer Study (STEADY-CAN) cohort was established to investigate strategies for early cancer detection in a population-based context within Stockholm County, the capital region of Sweden. Utilising real-world data to explore cancer-related healthcare patterns and outcomes, the cohort links extensive clinical and laboratory data from both inpatient and outpatient care in the region. The dataset includes demographic information, detailed diagnostic codes, laboratory results, prescribed medications, and healthcare utilisation data.

Boron-based materials are highly desirable for their promising mechanical properties, rendering them ideal for various industrial applications. In this study, we take advantage of the two unique metal Wyckoff sites in the prototype structures VB (4 and 2) and CrB (16 and 4). These two sites were populated by two different metals, M' and M'', forming novel B-based ternary M'M''B and M'M''B compounds.

Background: Higher circulating levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) alpha receptors 1 (TNFR1) and 2 (TNFR2) are associated with increased long-term mortality and impaired kidney function.

Aim: To study associations between levels of TNFR1 and TNFR2 and all-cause mortality as well as estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) decline.

Population And Methods: Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages 3-5 in the Salford Kidney Study were included.

Background: Plasma osteopontin (pOPN) is a promising aging-related biomarker among individuals with and without kidney disease. The interaction between sex, pOPN levels, and global and cardiorenal outcomes among older individuals was not previously evaluated.

Methods: In this study we investigated the association of pOPN with 24-month global mortality, major cardiovascular events (MACEs), MACEs + cardiovascular (CV) mortality, and renal decline among older individuals; we also evaluated whether sex modified observed associations.

The aim was to study if nurse-managed hypertension care was associated with differences in pharmacotherapy, lifestyle counseling, and prevalence of comorbid cardiometabolic diseases among patients receiving care at primary health care centers. To assess the extent of nurses' involvement in the hypertension care, a questionnaire was distributed to all primary health care centers in Region Stockholm. Age-adjusted logistic regression models were used to analyze the results, odds ratios with 99% confidence intervals.
