Modernized primary care systems are founded in holistic team-based care. Many models exist in the world. However, to overcome the challenges of various physician funding models and to scale resources across the highly populated urban/suburban areas, a different approach is needed.

The meta-analysis dataset presented is a convenience sample from 218 separate studies of agricultural technology adoption in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Each study uses survey data to estimate a form of multiple regression of adoption of a technology (dependent variable) with a diverse array of predictor variables. Fifteen predictor variable categories are included in this dataset: Age, education, gender, household size, farming experience, land size, soil fertility, land slope, distance to inputs/outputs, access to credit, land tenure, livestock ownership, non-farm income, access to extension, and organization membership.

Energy-efficient recovery of oil droplets from ice-cold water, such as oil sands tailings, marine, and arctic oil spills, is challenging. In particular, due to paraffin wax crystallization at low temperatures, the crude oil exhibits high viscosity, making it difficult to collect using simple solutions like sponges. Here, we report a wax-wetting sponge designed by conforming to the thermoresponsive microstructure of crude oil droplets.

Separation of toxic organic pollutants from industrial effluents is a great environmental challenge. Herein, an acid-base engineered foam is employed for separation of micro-oil droplets from an aqueous solution. In acidic or basic environments, acid-base polymers acquire surface charge due to protonation or dissociation of surface active functional groups.

Parasitoids face challenges by switching between host species that influence survival and fitness, determine their role in structuring communities, influence species invasions, and affect their importance as biocontrol agents. In the generalist parasitoid, Venturia canescens (Gravenhorst) (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae), we investigated the costs in encapsulation, survival, and body size on juveniles when adult parasitoids switched from their original host, Plodia interpunctella (Hübner) (Lepidotera, Pyralidae) to a novel host, Ephestia kuehniella (Zeller) (Lepidoptera, Pyralidae), over multiple generations. Switching had an initial survival cost for juvenile parasitoids in the novel host, but increased survival occurred within two generations.
