Introduction: First case of radiation-induced parotid leiomyosarcoma.
Anatomo-clinical Observation: A 50-year-old woman with a history of cervical irradiation for Hodgkin's lymphoma presented with a right parotid tumefaction. Examination noted a deep adherent pretragal mass with peripheral facial palsy.
The trigeminal system is considered a prominent actor in brain nociceptive innervation. The trigeminovascular system is mainly composed of pseudounipolar neurons located within the trigeminal ganglion, whose dendrites originate in cerebral blood vessels. Anatomical studies demonstrating anatomical continuity between perivascular fibers and the trigeminal system are lacking.
