Hydroxy polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (OHPAHs) in biological fluids, such as milk, are considered as biomarkers of exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in organism. The presence of OHPAHs in milk samples indicates a potential contamination on human organisms and milk producing animals.
