Two-dimensional (2D) semiconducting dichalcogenides hold exceptional promise for next-generation electronic and photonic devices. Despite this potential, the pervasive presence of defects in 2D dichalcogenides results in carrier mobility and photoluminescence (PL) that fall significantly short of theoretical predictions. Although defect passivation offers a potential solution, its effects have been inconsistent.

In implementing person-centered care, goals of care based on the patient's preferences are considered fundamental. Psychiatry is generally practiced in a curative paradigm, and little is known about the goals of care in geriatric psychiatric settings.

This paper demonstrates the capabilities of Auger PhotoElectron Coincidence Spectroscopy (APECS) to obtain data with varying surface sensitivities from a single measurement. This makes it possible to extract the spectrum from the outermost surface layer even when faced with strongly overlapping surface and bulk spectral features, which we demonstrate by accurately extracting the surface component in Au 4f photoemission.
