The prevalence and etiology of impotence in 101 male hypertensive outpatients.

Erectile dysfunction and impotence has a high prevalence among male hypertensive patients. Whether this relates mainly to specific drug side effects or to primary pathogenic disorders is unknown. In the present study 101 male patients from our outpatient hypertension clinic answered detailed questionnaires about hypertension and sexual function.

Transcutaneous nitroglycerine in the treatment of erectile dysfunction: a placebo controlled clinical trial.

Transcutaneous nitroglycerine has previously been reported to be effective in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. We present our results with the drug in a randomised, placebo controlled, double-blind crossover study. The effect of the drug has been evaluated both under laboratory conditions and in a home study.

Bladder diverticulectomy: operative technique.

We present a simple technique of bladder diverticulectomy. Etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of bladder diverticula are discussed. We recommend this technique for common use, since it is safe and time-saving.

Single incision, endoscopically assisted nephroureterectomy for tumours of the upper urinary tract.

In five patients undergoing nephroureterectomy for urothelial tumour of the upper urinary tract, the lower end of the ureter was resected by resectoscope (rip and pluck procedure). We recommend this technique for common use, since it is safe and time-saving.
