Objective: To compare the characteristics of childhood-onset versus late-onset Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in a sample of treatment-seeking patients.

Method: Among total of 101 adult patients who were recently diagnosed for ADHD, using the Diagnostic Interview for Adult ADHD (DIVA 2.0), 56 subjects exhibited childhood-onset ADHD, versus 45 displayed late-onset ADHD.

Improving physical activity (PA) in patients with alcohol use disorder (AUD) has recently emerged as an important component of the global treatment strategy to improve drinking outcomes and quality of life. However, this new approach should focus on AUD patients with insufficient baseline PA and requires this subgroup to be better characterized. In a population of 382 treatment-seeking AUD patients, PA was assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire, and participants were divided into two groups: insufficient PA group and sufficient PA group.

Alternative splicing of messenger RNAs is associated with the evolution of developmentally complex eukaryotes. Splicing is mediated by the spliceosome, and docking of the pre-mRNA 5' splice site into the spliceosome active site depends upon pairing with the conserved ACAGA sequence of U6 snRNA. In some species, including humans, the central adenosine of the ACGA box is modified by methylation, but the role of this mA modification is poorly understood.

Coordinating growth and patterning is essential for eukaryote morphogenesis. In plants, auxin is a key regulator of morphogenesis implicated throughout development. Despite this central role, our understanding of how auxin coordinates cell fate and growth changes is still limited.

Transcriptional corepressors play important roles in establishing the appropriate levels of gene expression during growth and development. The TOPLESS (TPL) family of corepressors are critical for all plant life. TPLs are involved in numerous developmental processes and in the response to extrinsic challenges.
