Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) are evolving from individual systems to collectives of systems that collaborate to achieve highly complex goals, realizing a cyber-physical system of systems (CPSoSs) approach. They are heterogeneous systems comprising various autonomous CPSs, each with unique performance capabilities, priorities, and pursued goals. In practice, there are significant challenges in the applicability and usability of CPSoSs that need to be addressed.

Methods: Individual in-depth interviews with 15 women facing ovarian surgery due to an adnexal mass.

- The study investigates the link between low levels of intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) after total thyroidectomy and the risk of hypocalcemia (low calcium levels) post-surgery.
- Data from 607 patients who underwent thyroidectomy from 2010 to 2022 were analyzed, showing that 32.5% had decreased iPTH levels, with 20.4% developing hypocalcemia on the first day after surgery.
- Results indicate that a significant drop in iPTH, especially levels below 10 pg/ml, correlates with a higher likelihood of postoperative hypocalcemia, suggesting iPTH measurement can help predict this complication.

Background: Inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT) is a rare and benign lesion that mimics malignancy and can develop in any part of the body. The pathophysiology and etiology of these quasineoplastic lesions remain unclear.
Case Summary: We report a case of a 65-year-old male who presented with fevers, night sweats, and unintentional weight loss following an influenza infection and was found to have multiple hepatic IPT's following an extensive work up.
Background: Ovarian carcinoma is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy because of its late diagnosis, extremely high recurrence rate, and limited curative treatment options. In clinical practice, high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) predominates due to its frequency, high aggressiveness, and rapid development of drug resistance. Recent evidence suggests that CXCL12 is an important immunological factor in ovarian cancer progression.
