A systematic narrative review of the involvement of executive functions in flying performance of pilots.

Piloting is a complex task that demands robust cognitive functions to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment. As a result, cognitive abilities, particularly executive functions (EFs), have gained significant importance in relation to flight performance. However, the specific EFs most critical for predicting flight performance remain unclear.

Proteogenomic reconstruction of organ-specific metabolic networks in an environmental sentinel species, the amphipod Gammarus fossarum.

Metabolic pathways are affected by the impacts of environmental contaminants underlying a large variability of toxic effects across different species. However, the systematic reconstruction of metabolic pathways remains limited in environmental sentinel species due to the lack of available genomic data in many taxa of animal diversity. In this study we used a multi-omics approach to reconstruct the most comprehensive map of metabolic pathways for a crustacean model in biomonitoring, the amphipod Gammarus fossarum in order to improve the knowledge of the metabolism of this sentinel species.

Early safety and mid-term clinical outcomes of technology transfer of transcatheter aortic valve implantation in patients with severe aortic valve stenosis in Vietnam: a single-center experience of 90 patients.

Background: This study investigated the early safety and mid-term outcomes of stepwise implementation of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) in Vietnamese patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) at a single center, following the process of technical transfer.

Methods: From 2017 to 2022, 90 patients with symptomatic severe AS underwent TAVI at a tertiary hospital in Vietnam. The first 30 cases received support for technology transfer from international proctors.
