In this study we have determined the plasmatic values of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and mucinous like tumor associated antigen (MCA) in 20 women with metastatic breast cancer. We have studied platelet aggregation in fourteen pre- and post-menopausal women treated with cyclic adjuvant CMF chemotherapy for mammary cancer with positive axillary nodes, previously operated. Aim of the investigation is to evaluate the effect of chemotherapy on platelet aggregation. The obtained results demonstrate that CMF therapy does not modify platelet aggregation in both pre- and post-menopausal patients.
