Forming and compliance-free operation of low-energy, fast-switching HfOS/HfS memristors.

We demonstrate low energy, forming and compliance-free operation of a resistive memory obtained by the partial oxidation of a two-dimensional layered van-der-Waals semiconductor: hafnium disulfide (HfS). Semiconductor-oxide heterostructures are achieved by low temperature (<300 °C) thermal oxidation of HfS under dry conditions, carefully controlling process parameters. The resulting HfOS/HfS heterostructures are integrated between metal contacts, forming vertical crossbar devices.

Pediatric Robotic-assisted Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty: Defining Mastery Over a 15 Year Experience.

Background: Robotic-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty (RALP) has been widely utilized within pediatric urology as RALP provides additional advantages to laparoscopic pyeloplasty including a more manageable learning curve. We aim to describe the maturation and mastery of pediatric RALP through our proposed trifecta of operative time, complication rates, and surgical success rates.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 148 patients who underwent RALP between 2007 and 2022.

According to current guidelines, patients with heart valve disease should be followed by Heart Valve Clinics (HVCs). Regular quality analysis is a major prerequisite of an HVC's program, but few data have been reported so far. We retrospectively collected patients with isolated, native aortic valve stenosis who had been visited in our HVC at least once between 2021 and 2024.

The expanding role of 16s ribosomal RNA PCR in the management of patients with infective endocarditis undergoing cardiac surgery.

Background: Aetiological diagnosis and targeted antibiotic therapy are essential to improve the prognosis of patients with infective endocarditis. Molecular tests on blood have been reported to be effective in identifying the causative organism and are recommended when blood cultures are negative. The role of molecular tests on the surgically excised valve is still unclear and needs further investigation.
