The impact of an enteral formula with food-derived ingredients on dietetic practice at a specialist children's hospital in the UK: Retrospective study.

Background: Blended tube feeds are reported to be better tolerated in some children compared to standard commercial enteral formulas, allowing children to normalise feeding by having similar foods as the rest of the family. However, a blended tube feed is contraindicated in patients who are immunocompromised or require post-pyloric feeding as a result of a food safety risk. Other contraindications for blended diet include children who require continuous pump feeding via gastrostomy or nasogastric feeding tube (< 12 Fr) and fluid restrictions.

Identification of Genes and Characterization of Resistance Mechanisms to Colistin in Isolates from Colombian Hospitals.

We report the presence of the gene among 880 clinical isolates collected in 13 hospitals from 12 Colombian cities between 2016 and 2019. Seven (0.8%) isolates were colistin resistant (MIC ≥ 4 µg/mL).

Background: , also known as canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2), is the main pathogen in hemorrhagic gastroenteritis in dogs, with a high mortality rate. Three subtypes (a, b, c) have been described based on VP2 residue 426, where 2a, 2b, and 2c have asparagine, aspartic acid, and glutamic acid, respectively.

Objectives: To evaluate the performance of a two-step strategy compared with the International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) - Assessment of Different NEoplasias in the adneXa (ADNEX) model for preoperative classification of adnexal masses.

Methods: An ambispective diagnostic accuracy study based on ultrasound data collected at one university hospital between 2012 and 2018. Two ultrasonographers classified the adnexal masses using IOTA Simple Rules (first step).

Introduction: Angiokeratoma corporis diffusum are benign capillary malformations typically associated with Fabry disease and other lysosomal storage disorders. Only in a few cases they appear in healthy individuals.
