Background: L2 is formed by combining the pheromone of () and a cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) with cell-penetrating selectivity. L2 has more significant penetration and better specificity for killing . However, the production of AMPs by chemical synthesis is always a challenge because of the production cost.

This study developed engineered lipopeptides using antienzymolysis modifications and cysteine (Cys)-dimerization strategy. As the key parameters for the functioning of AMPs, hydrophobicity and positive charges were concentrated within the peptide sequence by adjusting the intermolecular disulfide bond placement to study their distribution effects.

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are small molecular peptides widely existing in the innate immunity of organisms, serving as the first line of defense. Natural AMPs possess various biological activities and are difficult to develop drug resistance. However, they are easily broken down by digestive enzymes in the body.

Combining AMPs with adjuvants holds promise in surmounting these limitations. Among potentiators, terpenoids account for the highest proportion, yet their potential to enhance the AMPs efficacy and underlying mechanism remain unclear.

It is often associated with physical injury but can also occur without identifiable trauma or ongoing injury. There are no published guidelines for CRPS treatment in the pediatric population, but interdisciplinary care, medication, and physical therapy are common approaches.
