[New single-photon emission computed tomograph].

The "OFEKT-1" emission tomograph, worked out on the basis of gamma camera, is described. The results of technical and medical testing of the tomograph are presented.

[The characteristics of the structural-functional state of the erythrocytes from homoiothermic and heterothermic animals during hypothermic storage].

Haemoglobin leakage and permeability for 86Rb and K ions during storage at normal and hypothermic conditions have been investigated in the erythrocytes of the ground squirrel Citellus undulatus in hibernating, arousing and awake animals, as well as in rats. During hibernation, stabilization of the barrier properties and a decrease in passive ionic permeability of erythrocyte membrane were observed. Preservation of ionic homeostasis of the erythrocytes in hibernating animals is favoured by activation of Na(+)-pump.

[Design and characteristics of a scintillation gamma camera with high spatial resolution and fast response].

The second generation of the scintillation gamma camera gamma KC-2 has been recently produced in lots. Compared to the first Soviet model gamma KC-1 it features advanced spatial resolution, maximum count rate, and image uniformity. A built-in microprocessor controls in real time corrections for distortions thus providing a marked gain in serviceability and expanded diagnostic capacity.

[Increased permeability of the intracellular membranes in the dehydration and rehydration of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeasts].

A considerable quantity of potassium and magnesium ions was found to be released from Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells being in the state of anabiosis upon their rehydration. The nearly maximal (for each of the experiments) quantity of ions was released as early as when cells dehydrated to a residual humidity of ca. 20% were rehydrated.
